Plans, pages & overage

SmartDMS plans are based on pages processed. Solo is the single-user plan; Starter and every higher plan include unlimited users.

What every paid plan includes

The AI document core is included on every paid tier: auto-filing, Org Brain, natural-language search, workflow automation, approvals, and the full audit log. Plans differ by included page volume, overage rate, storage, support, user policy, and the connectivity or compliance features below.

For current monthly prices, page allowances, overage rates, storage, and support, use the pricing page. This guide explains the model without duplicating that plan table.

Features that unlock by plan

  • Available on Starter and up Google Drive integration.
  • Available on Business and up Email ingestion, API access, SSO, and compliance data export.
  • Available on Business and up QuickBooks integration is a separate $99-per-month add-on when available.
  • Available on Professional and up DocuSign eSignature.
  • Available on Enterprise White-label branding.

Data erasure is not tier-gated. Every customer can use the owner-only permanent erasure flow regardless of plan.

Use the Billing tab

  1. Check plan and usage

    The page shows your current plan or trial status and a readout of pages used against the applicable monthly allowance or 250-page trial cap.

  2. Start checkout when needed

    New accounts complete Stripe Checkout before the 7-day trial begins. If a trial reaches its 250-page cap, the owner can choose Start paid plan now.

  3. Manage an active subscription

    After subscribing, plan and payment-method changes open in the Stripe Customer Portal.

Billing controls are owner-only. Other teammates see Owner access required.

Understand overage

The commercial policy offers per-page overage billing or an automatic move to the next plan. There is no hard stop by default; one can be configured by request. These choices are not controls on the current Billing screen, and the pricing page carries the current per-page rate for each plan.

Terms, add-ons, and payment

  • Every plan is a 12-month commitment, paid monthly or prepaid for 1, 2, or 3 years.
  • Prepay discounts are 20%, 30%, and 40% respectively. There is no setup fee.
  • Extra storage is available at $25 per 100 GB per month.
  • Payment is by card or ACH through Stripe; PayPal is not supported.
  • A failed payment moves the subscription to past due and pauses uploads and processing until the payment method is updated.
